PDC failure on 5 month old 525d
Discussion
Had the system fail over the weekend, so when she goes in for her first service in the next few weeks, it'll be number 1 on the very short list of things to sort. Have done a search, but can't find anything on here to suggest it's a common fault, or a 1-off... Anyone else had this problem come up so soon?

it'll be something simple. Sensors fail
My PDC has failed too. Although its on an 04 E63. System would occasionally tell me it received no signal, but would then start working. Last week just packed up totally, as soon as you switch the ignition on the failure message pops up on the in dash screen. Going in to stealers tomorrow so the story will go
1. The unit has failed(told them that when I booked it in)
2. Don't have it in stock and it will be 2 days before they get a replacement
3. Then it will be the wrong part they sent, and will need to go back,
4. They will then feel guilty and give me a courtesy car for messing me around, something crap like a diesel X3.
Just going on past experience of having anything done with the E63
Just thought I'd update this thread having not long gotten back from Green Bower BMW in Haverfordwest.
They diagnosed a faulty front sensor when it went in for it's first oil service 2 weeks ago, and ordered one there and then. Had it fitted first thing this morning along with a new nearside dipped bulb (at no charge!!), and returned back to me cleaned inside and out in just over an hour.
I was kept very satisfied with regular cups of tea , whilst sitting in the quiet hand-over area (trying to keep the work demons at bay! ).
Top notch and faultless customer service, a big thanks and thumbs up to Green Bower and Elaine!
