Four of us are taking my 1935 Rolls to the Classic this year, having been a regular at the "normal" 24hr for the past few years. Going in company with a few TVRs so that is all right then yes

Sorted for accomodation on the way down and at the event, but we want to split the return journey to prevent a rush back. Looking for somewhere about 50 to 75 miles away from Calais for an over-night stop on the Monday night. Would like somewhere with secure parking, and preferably a bit of character. Does anybody have any suggestions?

I'd suggest you stay near a town square because Monday 14th July is Bastille Day and the celebrations are fantastic. Bethune is a good start. 50 miles from Calais and I think it has some connection to the revolution. Can't recommend anywhere to stay because the only good thing I can remember about our hotel is that it was central and had underground parking!

There are some good hotels with secure parking around Rouen, we stayed in one after the 06 classic, check out the tourist office website in rouen thats where we found ours.
But as mentioned dont stray too far from main roads on 14th as a lot of petrol stations will be shut.
Thats part of the reason we are heading back Sun eve this year.
