Looking to get the chimaera serviced for the first time in the next few weeks, the question is where to go. I am based in Herefordshire and so far have looked at Neil Garner (who seems to be highly regarded) and David Gerald. I was suprised that their 6k service prices were only a tenner or so different, bearing in mind one is a "main agent" and one an indie.

Does anyone have any thoughts on which to entrust my car to?

Just had my car serviced at Neil Garners and can highly recommend him. I actually live about 20 mins from DG's but chose Neil based on meeting him and recommendations from other PHers on this site. He knows his stuff and is very honest...I thought I needed new discs and pads (Levens who inspected and serviced my car last year suggested they are ready to be looked at). 3,500 miles later and Neil said the discs and pads were good for a while yet! Others may have changed them anyway! He is also giving a discount on his labour charge for TVRCC members and he has a courtesy car should you need to leave your car with him.

In addition to a 6k service he also replaced my cam (new MC1 cam) and exhaust manifold gaskets, had my radiator recored, full geo and resealed the chassis.

I've just done some pricing up - Green Star were by far the cheapest quoted, I didn't go there as they are such a long way away - but you are closer than I...
