Noise Under Deceleration
Discussion
I've done a quick search and don't seem to be able to find anything matching up to this, so my apologies if it's been raised before.
More often than not, when slowing to a stop from a stint at sustained motorway speeds (such as for the roundabout at the end of a slip road) there's a clanging noise from somewhere towards the rear of the car. If I had to say it sounded like anything I'd say it put me in mind of the exhaust banging against the underside of the car/ falling off and rattling along the road.
It only happens after at least ten minutes or so at motorway speeds and only just as I pass through 20-30mph on the way to a stop. It doesn't happen if I slow from normal road speeds and the car doesn't feel any different to drive since its started doing this. There's no visible damage underneath the car.
If it's any help, the car's done about 44,000 miles and was last serviced in November.
Has anyone else experienced this? I'm hoping it's just a perished exhaust mount or something like that, but I'm concerned that it'd rattle more often if that was the case.

DIFF!!!!!!!!
You will need some friction modifier from one of the sponsors, the diff "locks" in a straight forward postion on long motorway runs (straight line driving) then when you slow and come off at a slip road the diff "breaks free" and you get the terible clunking sound akin to your prop shaft falling off.
