I've had a full range of comments from family and colleagues since I've had it rolleyes - ranging from "5.7 litres of man", through the standard "mid-life crisis car" (I ain't that old though!), and all the way down to "the big gay car ", after which I was lost for words!

Strangely I've never been described as a "boy racer" for having it, nor have the size of my genitals been called into question

silly

I'm with you!! Although I'll admit to finally getting up to 20.4 mpg in mine this week. It took some sustained caution (followers of my posts will know I drive mine quite hard). My usual average is circa 13.8mpg. Two trips to Devon with a light foot and extensive of cruise control got me up to the target of 20mpg. Now I know it CAN be done...

Um.. I'd hazzard "Waste of money" since I don't use it - think I've managed 5k in 2 years. Hasn't moved since September due to a house move that dragged on, lack of money and generally lack of time due to work, house and commitments. Still.. I ain't selling it. tongue out

My dad has an identical CV8 as me (except the mods) and has done less that 1000 miles in 3 years and it never moves from the garage. When mine's worn out I'll swap the plates as he'll never notice

I don't know what I was thinking when I said I might be selling, driving it home tonight made me remember how much I love it. These cars are unique in a world of bland boxes, especially with FI.

I have similar feelings - "I should sell - it's costing me £500 a month doing nothing" then I drive it and think "Pah, this is awesome!". Probably helps driving a 1.0 Citroen C1 daily!

Saying all that, I hope to be in a position in 18 months to be looking at either a Camaro or another 911; so I guess she's safe for now smile
