B O V problem

Morning guys,
Just fitted my new bov and have some problems!!!
Very lumpy idleing and hesitant acceleration. also it doesnt make the wooshing noise. ( not a boy racer,honest. im almost 40)
Has anybody had the samething happen to them when fitting there bov?
Is there something simple i have missed? Followed the intructions of the
gto3 web site. how hard can it be, i thought

Hi It sounds like you have an air leak to me can, you hear anything different at idle ? If the piston was stuck partially open you would get these symptons.

what valve have you fitted? if its a forge item, there are different tension springs available to ensure it stays closed

might just be that your spring is too weak and is opening to early (watch your boost guage) and not getting it closed quick enough or fully closed

Yes, its a genuine forge bov for a noble m12. Brought from forge last week.
Got a mechanic friend looking at it today.
Did i read somewhere that it should have a yellow spring inside?

I had the wrong spring fitted but all it did was vent early under acceleration, so it should not cause any real problems.

Sounds like you have a leak in the vacuum pipes.

Bingo and the yellow spring should be fine.
