gear stick not auto centering

Hello, just wondering if anybody has had issues before with their gear stick not auto centering when the engine gets warm? And if so what caused it?

I drive a 111s s2 elise.

Hi!

Had that EXACT problem.

Do you have the Elise Parts Gear Shifter kit fitted on your car, or the standard unit? If it's the standard unit I suggest getting said gear shifter kit - available here;

It not only improved the gear shift a massive amount, but solved that problem also.

Greasing the joins will help and probably fix it short term but long term I'd suggest the kit is definitely worth getting.

The gear linkage kit is definitely worth buying ... I noticed that changes between the gates were tighter and more precise once the kit was installed

this issue is usualy caused by the bell crank pivot going tight . usualy the bush breaks due to a build up of rust under it . these sell the nylatron bushes
