Its gone up because the company has announced that a rig is on its way over to the Faulkland Islands and that BHP has offered to pay for the drilling of 2 wells at no cost to Desire themselfs. Now BHP arnt going to offer that if they dont think its worth it.
Seismic surveys have shown a possible 30 Billion barrels of Oil in Desires trenches alone.

Made some money back in the day out of Tullow and Westmount on all that hype, managed to get out before all the stocks plummeted to virtually nothing....nice ride while it lasted.

I guess with oil now at $100 it is much more worthwhile trying to get out what is undoubtedly down there soemwhere...it was simply never economic back then at $18 a barrel.
