Any Cerb Owners Nr Nuneaton/Coventry?!
Discussion
Hi all,
Hoping to find a Cerb owner near Nuneaton/Coventry.
Had a Cerb & Tuscan before I went over to the dark side (996TT), but circumstances were different then and there were only 2 of us, now 2.25
Always missed the 'event' of TVR driving, but as at the time I used them every day ... don't miss the 'issues'.
Hoping to try a Cerb out against my Turbo to compare ... sound, road presence, can I fit my golf gear in it, can the little one fit in the back etc etc.
As you can tell ... considering a Range Rover and Cerb/Fezza in the Garage.
Thanks, SIM

J2 on the M5 me. I can possibly pop over to Cov one of the weekend days if you like, providing B'ham City aren't playing
Supposed to rain on Saturday, so the fast acceleration test wont be up to much.
343 bhp at the moment, but if you use your imagination for timing/mapping/induction you can guess what the 400bhp babies must feel like

Thanks for replies ALL.
Russell .... that would be absolutely great if you wouldn't mind or are coming this way at some point.
Hoping to get mine back from garage at the of the week - having rear spoiler hydraulics upgraded/fixed.
Main question I've got is ... can the little one fit in the back etc.
(Bit short on 2+2 options, other then 911, DB7, Maser & Cerb).

How you fixed for Saturday, say 12 or after. The car I'm in has the metal bracket behind the passenger seat for the TVR child seat to attach on to. We can meet at TVR power in Coventry if you like, my older car is there, so you can see the pre/post lightweight differences, if it's ok with Dom & he's still there.
He's got an old 911 Turby, so he'll probably appreciate your newer model :-)
Or any pub
I'll email you in the morning

No probs Paul, I'll email you my number over in a minute.
I work till 11 on A Saturday morning, but nip home & get changed.
If it's this weekend, try & call before 12 on Saturday, otherwise I'm likely to be immersed in drink.
Or if it's Sunday, after 12, as I'll be recovering from Saturday
Must get a new liver.

As the above post says. Also, there isn't much room in there and I imagine it will be a struggle to get them in (bending through the door etc). TVR made child seats especially for specific cars, so it may be worth asking for them as there may be some owners that would be willing to sell (but they are colour matched to the cars).Dave
Hi Russell ....
Firstly, thanks very much for coming over yesterday.
Your car is mint, looks great, sounds great and goes well - very planted. Any potential buyers - car is definitely recommended.
The one question I hoped to answer from being in/around a Cerb again is .... does it give me 'the driving event, the smile and give me that buzz of driving we all crave for' .... the answer definitely YES !!
Comparing a Cerb to a 911 Turbo is somewhat unfair as they are such different animals. The 911 feels so planted, so solid and you can push it to whatever speed, round any corner without even thinking about it .... Like I said, sometimes though it feels too good.
The Cerb yesterday felt raw, quick and I felt that 'respect it and it'll be ok, don't at your peril' sort of buzz. The sound of that exhaust popping and banging is probably the biggest thing I miss from TVR's .... such a great sound.
Thinking back, we must have spent 30 mins in the car and didn't have the raido on once .... not something that would have happened in my 996TT.
It has certainly given me something to think about and TVR (Cerb or otherwise) is definitely a prospect for in the garage again.
Think I am going to try a 550, Maser 4200, DB7 again though before making the next move .... only as the 911 has been (and is) such a fantastic toy, I don't want to let her go then wish I hadn't, especially as I have had her for 3+ years and know her inside out and I've had everything done.
Maybe I'll get the DMS treatment for the 911 and get a Cerb as well .... then I get everything I want !!!!
Thanks again Russ
