Now with all this talk of a dire economic future on the horizon, what's going to happen to supercar prices.

Is the purchase of a new GT2 or Scud this year going to lead to ruin and damnation?

Already the waiting list for new 997 TT's is reduced to 3 months, Superleggeras are available imminently.

Should we cancel our orders and buckle up for a bumpy ride?

What's the feeling?

Regards.

Pretty much been done to death this one L, still lots of folk making money and spending it, but bound ot be some weakness compared to the last couple of record years the likes of lambo dealers have experienced.

Only effect I've noticed so far are that my tracker mortgages are considerably cheaper than they were! Long live interest rate cuts.....

I thought we were supposed to be having 20% drops in property prices?

Greater London still has double digit annual house price inflation, and the rest of the UK is still up (albeit at a slower rate)

House prices have fallen generally in the last two months. Apparently. And recession due within next 18 months. Apparently. Time will tell.

Little o/t - There is a superleggera for sale in the classifieds at £140K. Were these not around £170K new with usual options?? Not relating this to the state of the economy but seems like quite a steep drop for a car I would have thought would still command a premium.

With 20% increases not uncommon in London over the last couple of years, anything except for a huge crash is going to take its time to be felt or work through to the stats. I would like to see the same figures for the last 3-6 months, as 12-14% YoY sounds great until you think the figure to July/August was 20%+.

Anything above 0% is IMO still great, as it's still not a drop in prices, just a slowdown in the increase. We can't be THAT greedy smile

I rekcon that as with TOP TOP end houses (Chelsea etc), TOP end cars (new Lambo etc) prices will stay firm.

Mid market prices will drop like a stone (997s, 360s etc) as people who borrowed heavily to buy them bail out.
