Which do I buy?

I'm looking for a sat nav system with a view to having a blast through Spain and France in a few months time. This is the first time I've considered purchasing one and as I'm too idle to swat up on the world of sat nav I'm counting on some advice ... so what should I be buying? (without breaking the bank of course)

Garmin nuvi 250 is cheap as proverbial chips and comes with european maps loaded

Excellent piece of kit too, personally I much prefer them to Tom Tom equivelents.

I to have to decide, recently used Garmin navi 250 w in europe very good but have also been looking at the tomtom go 720, few more extra features for a bit mor money.

If you are going to buy cheapest place strangely appears to be PCWorld, they will price match internet prices in store.

Garmin Nuvi 250w £131
Tomtom go 720 £185

Not too sure which one yet, but possibly favouring the TT at present.
