I would like to go BUT since hearing about the noise issues i'm rather put off. I've been loads in the past but the one strike and you're out rule has done it for me (i think)

Its an easytrack date - 1 spot left as of this afternoon.

Was umming and arrrring about it today, but looked at the mix of cars, my borderline ability to get past the noise limits of late, and past experience of easytrack at Bedford and decided against...

Should be there giving a Caterham Academy car its shake-down run, if we get it finished in time...

It's black, un-registered yet.

Come and give us a hand finishing it in one of the pit garages!

Bedford is a joke: mickey mouse track, tends to attract the wrong crowd, oppressive noise control regime, and complete disregard for the customer. Last time I went we were left waiting outside in the cold until the end of the previous briefing. Then I was told I failed the static test so an "instructor" would do a drive by in my car. The moron drove right next to the microphones reving the engine to the limiter... I still passed one but failed the other mike... To add insult to injury, he was then trying to explain to me that noise is measured on a log scale, so even though I failed by 0.0001 db my car (standard 97 3) was far too noisy... I have a PhD from the LSE you moron, I know what a log scale is!

If you are going this time, try to enjoy, but next time stay away from the silly playground for novices and show-offs and try a real track like Silverstone.

Your post is akin to a Waitrose customer trying to persuade all Asda customers to shop at your Waitrose branch ...... you might just wish you had kept quiet biggrin

Was a great morning I thought. I failed noise just before lunch time... but did two full tanks of fuel in the morning and my rear tyres are now toast!

I was in the silver 996 Turbo. Was great fun playing with the silver GT3 and the white and blue GT3 RS! Awesome fun... really enjoyed that

and as for sgging off the track and facilities?!?!??! what crap... been going to Bedford on both the track and corporate days for over 7 years I think now. Amazing place...

Only problem is noise! Thats 3 of my cars now I can't use there! gutted! none are mentally loud either to be honest frown

HI Porkie,

I was there and have to say that the only cars that impressed
me were the Atoms and your Turbo. You flew past me a couple of times. Any
idea of your top speed down the back straight? I managed a paltry 126 mph.
Have to agree I had a great day and thought it was quite well organised with
the numbers invovled.
