Caught the wheelarch on the garage door frame at the weekend....furious

Espressed my displeasure with a few choice words....

I've had a quote from Racing Green (it was booked in for a service anyway). Let's just say it's a bit more than I was hoping for (just over £700) eek but then again I am the eternal optomist!

Anyone got any experience of RG's bodyshop?

Also thinking about whether it's going to be worth doing the whole front end to get rid of the stone chips on the nose at the same time. Anyone got any guidance on how much a front end respray might cost?

If it's the front wheel arch then they would be doing very well to not have to spray the at least 3rd of the front end, as they are no blend lines that help to mask where it has been sprayed . . . I don't imagine it would be more than £1200 to do the whole front end even at RG.

Old trick.

Hang a rope from the ceiling so it hangs about an inch from wherever you might hit the wall.

When the car touches the bottom of the rope, you see the top move.

Thanks but it was while reversing out. I caught it on the frame of the garage door; the drive was full of other cars and I was watching behind to avoid them.

Hi Colin,
I got a quote from them to do my Tuscan roof & pillars a couple of years ago, but got a quote for about half theirs from "C&S Coachworks" on the same estate as APM, did a great job! You'll find them in Hants TVRCC links page here....

Thanks Woody I'll certainly give them a call. Might see you on Sunday at the Hants meet - trying to get down to it if I can.
