Finally someone mentions that throttle problem that I noticed with the Exige S when I test drove one at launch all those years ago!! I really trust Mr Harris' opinion; he seems to be the only journalist who reviews cars with the sort of thoroughness that you want if you might be considering actually buying a car.

Excellent - Mr Harris makes some very valid points concerning Lotus's place in the market place and gives a good review - he 'gets the joke' as far as Lotus is concerned and gives credit where it's due. Gotta get myself behind the wheel of one of these methinks...

He also bought an Elise when they first came out, so he should be a fan even if he sold it shortly afterwards for a profit!

Wasn't the VHPD 190 mapped in an unusable way to get past emissions regs. It could be remapped quite cheaply to produce more power much more smoothly.

I was referring to his Europa review - I seem to recall that he liked his/autocar's mk 1 Exige an awful lot (from memory, complained about wear and tear /engine needing to be replaced) but preferred his 911 Club Sport.
