Very excited.

Taking my bike to a very nice chap this weekend to see if he can sort out my side stand problem.

The stand on my 125 is rubbish, you cant put the stand down while on the bike and you have tip the bike over the the right to get the stand down. Dropped it once becasue of this

With any luck this chap will be able to mod the stand to sort this out.
Having this sorted will make me a very happy girl.

Anyone else had problems with bikes and dodgy stands?

Lots, you generally have to make sure the bike is leaning away from any slope, my old Ducati was hopeless. Has your bike been lowered? If it has the bike won't lean as far and can be a bit unstable.

I got it from Ebay and not sure it the prev owner did , it was a guy so prob not. Its a good height for me being only small, will have to take this into account for my next bike. The vfr400 is what I have fallen in lurve with !

My Duke has a flip up stand which can make it hard to put down whilst on the bike: you need to hold it down whilst you put the bikes weight on it. No good if you are on a camber. Now got a conversion to stop the flip up but not fitted it yet though. Your stand sounds weird though - haviong to lean it to the right to get it down can't be correct. Then again, manufacturers do some odd things.
Good choice the VFR400 - NC30 I assume? I really enjoyed the one I had years ago and still amongst the prettiest bikes aroiund IMHO - being a mini-RC30. You won't be dissappointed.

Yep the NC30, just need the DAS then I'll be on ebay. Its the seat height too built for little japs , and small girlies!
Yep, its an odd build the Sachs , but I wont be beaten !

Very happy girl.

A very nice man called Tony, fixed my side stand problem at the weekend. Chopped about an inch and a half off the stand bent it and then put a new larger plate on the bottom of the stand.

Just to let you know wink
