Dwight Yorke has won his case by not signing the form! It's on the news right now!

It is now saying that the loop is already kind of closed. Drivers can be done under Section 172 - Failing to Supply Driver Details for not signing.

i.e. Police can't prosecute for speeding but can prosecute for failing to identify the driver.

Doesn't seem to make sense to me but that's what they are saying and the government says there is no need to change the law.

You do identify the driver. Then you return the form unsigned and go to court. The unsigned form can't be used in evidence.

Or have I missed something?

thats what I did - ID myself as driver...didnt sign..they then threatened with prosecution for not supplying, I replied with 'I have on numerous occasions' last resort for them was an offer of fixed penalty anyway at the 6 month limit (offence was last Jan) - still havnt had a court summons through for either (tempting fate now !)
