How do you remove the front clam?
Discussion
I managed to remove the front floor pan to check on the chassis. There is a bit of corrosion but it's not as bad as I thought it might be. I found that there is comparitively a lot on the very front section and needs POR15ing. Problem is it's a bit of a pain to paint this section properly with the fron clam on. So how is it removed?
I was assuming the pivot bolts could just be removed easily and the clam lifted away, but mine appear not to want to budge - they're quite happy rotating but not to come out (I have removed the bolt safety pins!). There's also the small pivot-holding section bolted onto the chassis but the frontmost nuts on there look impossible to remove (mine have corroded so the nut on the other side needs to be held in place while undoing the main bolt - not enough room behind there to do this as far as I can tell.) Am I missing something?
