I've got my renewal through and it's a bit on the high side, I have had a ring round but having a single vehicle claim on the Griff last year seems to be bumping up my price a lot. Anyone know a place who can do a decent quote if you have had a recent claim?

Did you try Tesco's Paul? They've always been very good to me and the better half - reasonable premiums with good level of cover and they responded very well when my Chim got nicked before I got the Tuscan.

Think my biggest problem was the single vehicle incident claim I had on the Griff then the SE London post code doesn't help, I was told the Tuscan is the highest risk TVR as well.

Just called most the usual companies, my renewal was over £5000, then around £2000 was quoted by most, a plan came in at £1400 but Hagerty have just done The Tuscan and Vitesse for just over £520 for the pair.

Wow, good deal there then! I pay about £850 for my Tuscan with a £125 excess and unlimited mileage. (35yrs old, full no claims, car is kept in garage overnight). I'll look at Hagerty when the premium comes up for renewal. Postcode does seem to make a huge difference to pricing.

Cheers

I'm 30 and have 5 years bonus to use, Last year paid about £640 on the Griff then another 100 to swap over to the Tuscan so this claim really seems to have hit hard.

Hagerty didn't do a good quote for me though not sure if he did it right. Didn't ask about no claims discount or any convictions.

Just asked where it was kept then came back with a quote about £1400.

Politely declined.

Do you keep it in a garage? Think they are supposed to be a pampered second car policy, mine is a second car, not sure about the pampered bit though hehe
