James Agger

Hi, has anyone ever bought or dealt with James Agger? There is a tuscan I like the look of but wanted to know if anyone had any comments etc....

Met him a few times, mainly at Le Mans. Introduced via Joos of TCS, who like Joos, is an honest talking guy, who knows his stuff and although I have never bought a car from him, know of others who have, who highly recommend him.

Yup - agree with Paddy.

Although I have never bought (or sold) through him, he's a rare breed of honest secondhand car dealer.

The secondhand world in TVRs is pretty limited and everyone knows everyone else, so nobody will last long if they haven't kept a pretty immaculate reputation!

Thought I would share my experiences with James Agger...

I bought a Tuscan From James a year ago and he was excellent to deal with,

My tuscan was well prepared (just had a service from TVR power) and was in good condition - He does try and only shift cars he either knows or likes himself -
e.g. my car was bought and sold by James to the previous owner before me so he knew the history of it.

I guess that you pay a little more than you would privately but probably no more than a dealer, but for me, I wanted the piece of mind that came with buying from someone with a good reputation.

I would definitely consider buying from him again.

just as an aside - mine broke down on the day I bought it (not James' fault - the throttle cable snapped) and James was more than helpful - he paid for the new cable and got on the phone to the garage to try and get it fixed asap for me.

Hi,

bought my Tusc two and a half years ago, had no issues with the car whatsover, was waxoiled and serviced before I picked it up, and excellent after sales service. When (if) I upgrade, I will definately be using James for my next Tiv, highly recommended
