HHmmm.

Does anyone know this car? The plate looks familiar, if its the guy from Suffolk with same spec car, who drives like that. "Hi" I'm the guy on the 08 Hayabusa who keeps chasing you! Its the noise i'm after not a race.

Fair play to him, at least he is doing it in a carpark and not on the road,

i assume he owns the car,

so no problem then, except for the clutch (or was it e-gear).

Surely no owner would do that? Idiotic driving but didn't it sound good.

What did he gain from doing that? I can see why people might give their car some abuse around a track, but wheres the pleasure in doing doughtnuts? Or is that just me being boring? rolleyes

That video has probably just knocked around £20k atleast off the value of his car though biggrin

I'd be surprised if that was an owner and the video does state "test drive". Loaned from one of the dealers perhaps? Nice way to thank them.

E-Gear in the vid.

And why are people moaning? isn't this what Tiff & co do every week on telly?
Will it break it? Should he treat it like a 16 year old virgin or just thrape it?

Apart from accelerated tyre wear what's the problem..engine has a limiter and the car's built to take a bit of stick, yes?? Isn't that what it's for?

Who wouldn't want to do that just a little bit?

I've no idea if he bought it, but I'd call it a decent test drive.. or perhaps he should just ponce about in it at 3,000rpm extolling it's virtues to his passenger.

I rather like the idea of it being given some stick.

Can only imagine the comments if it had been on the street or if he had taken it on the track if he didn't own it.

Wonder if the car knows if 6,000 rpm doughnuts are different from 6,000rpm through the gears??

Some of you are just so precious about cars, being used, it's what they are for. Not everyone drives like this but that doesn't make it wrong. Tell me, if you met Tiff would you call him a to5ser face to face?

He didn't hurt it, get over it.

I'm with SteveRod. He's in an empty car park, not on the road and what harm is he really doing? I went to the race of champions at Wembley where several thousand people loved watching McRae, Coulthard, Priaulx & Schumacher doing donuts and unnecessary power slides for our entertainment. Yes it's pointless and juvenile but so what?

if its not his car and a test drive then maybe it would not be wise to go that nuts in a car park. I would not, but if i owned the car and it could take it, then i would use it.

Sounded nice.

IMO, if its a test drive its out of order. If not, then its his car doing something in a safe environment, so knock yourself out. I wouldn't do it myself as I'm generally "mechanically sympathetic" to my cars (and would st myself at the thought of a potential bill), but they're built to be durable and I would say at some point, almost every Lambo would have been ragged, be it off the lights, around a track or on a Eurohoon....this isn't too much different IMO.

so, hypothetically speaking, would you buy a used car from the gentleman in the video ?
a
Possibly, yes. I really can't see what the massive problem is. He's only spinning around and wearing his tyres out. And anyway, it's his car and he can use it as he pleases. Just because it's a Lambo doesn't mean he has to preserve it like a precious object for future generations to cherish. However, if it is a test drive car, then his behaviour is not on - in that situation, it's not his car so he really ought to have more manners. My point is, if it's his car then he can do what ever tickles his fancy.

If it was his car, no problem, have a blast mate, let us all see n' hear it !! biggrin

My point, which you have obviously missed completely, was that if a dealer has been good enough to let the guy take it out on his own and trust him to 'test drive' it and not do what he was doing then he's totally out of order !

He didn't hurt it, get over it..............oh right, when was the last time you replaced tyres on a car like that ?!! rolleyes

What I said........Tosser !

Im more mature than that. If somebody gave me an SL for a test drive, of course you would give it some onions but in a straight line on the road. On a dual carriage way or something.

If it's that mans car then....... Fair play. If he finds it fun, hes paid the money he should have as much fun as he wants and it looks great fun biggrin
