Here's another suggestion for a good getaway!
This was taken in Tanzania when i was on safari in 2002.

We were catching the 06.53 train to London, to see Jersey Boys, the life story of Frankie Valli, as a musical.

Bloody brilliant day out, starting with the London Eye at 09.45!

I did a Tanzania safari last August and it was breathtaking. We had a cheetah wander over and touch the tyres of our Land Cruiser. It was a tad hair-raising though, they can jump bloody high! Which part of Tanzania did you go to Ian? I was volunteering at a place a few hours outside the Ngorogoro Crater near Arusha for 6 weeks last summer!

We were based near the Serengeti National Park and also went up Kilimanjaro.
Awesome place.
