Well I finally buggered my AP racing discs after 40,000 miles over 4 years, not really the fault of AP though as if you leave a car mainly parked, wash it lots and then take it out and brake test from 170 MPH (not in UK of course) you can expect the build up of crud (rust) not to aid heat dissipation when very hot.
I post just to let others know this is driver error and the warping appeared on the inside disc surface & looked fine from roadside. Mark at Rapid said this is the first time he has heard of AP racing discs that needed replacement through warping – and there was me thinking that warping of disc brakes was a myth!

why on earth would you want to slam the brakes on hard from 170mph anyway?
Glad its your pocket and not mine. But its nice to see your not driving around at 70mph all the time.

Why,a black merc decided to pull three lanes in front of me when I was showing off giving it everything! Surely thats what brakes are really for in an EMERGENCY?
