Z4 Parking Sensors

My parking sensors on my Alpina Z4 have been doing strange things for a while .... either beeping whenever they want or not beeping at all. This morning I noticed that the far right sensor was the only one working and now that has stopped.

Has anyone had this problem before? As its all the sensors I presume it is the module that is broken and I can just replace it. Final question, does anyone know where the module is in the car?

Mine seem to have a mind of their own. I would ideally like to turn them off/remove them completely, as they service no purpose for me.

Its most likely just one of the sensors faulty. Someone bumping into one in a carpark can be enough. Not sure how to test which one though.

This morning only the far right (as you stand behind the car looking at it) was working, and not very well. The rest of them aren't working at all. They've been getting worse for a while and beeping randomly while working. As 3 sensors now don't work I was thinking it must be the module. If anyone knows where it is in the car I'd be interested to know as I'd like to fix it rather than pay the main dealer to fix it! They quoted me £80ish per sensor and I see I can get new ones on ebay for £7 in the bmw box and everything!

Jet washers can also break the sensors apparently - I suppose the water gets in.

Given its most likely the sensors not the 'module', why not spend the £21 and buy the ones off ebay? At least you can rule that out as a problem if it doesnt resolve it.
