Removing Steering Wheel

Before I start a job I can't finish, what size is the nut attaching the steering wheel to the column? Need to go shopping for an appropriate socket before I start this one!

There are six allen screws holding the steering wheel to the boss, 6mm i think? Don't know what the nut size is holding the boss the the column, don't know why you would want to take the bos off though, get a new wheel that fits existing boss.

Don't know of any that would fit without removing the boss unless you want the wheel to be "off" when running straight.

sorry, I don't understand that last post. I've purchased the Momo wheel from TVR power so it's drilled to fit. Am I looking at removing the boss?

If its like the rest of the wheels in the Momo range you'll see the machine screws start @12.00 whereas the dedicated TVR ones don't. That also means that the bracket with the instrument buttons attached will not line up without re-drilling.
