Anyone know why you can never find a 355 Spyder fitted with the sports setas so often found in the Berlinetta or GTS?

If your talking about the carbon bucket seats, you cant find a spider because (a) they werent an option; and (b) you cant retro fit them because the roof mechanism works is linked to the electric seats and the back rest would catch as the roof mechanism goes up or down.

Real shame because they would look amazing!

It is, isn't it. Is there no alternative?

You would have to reconfigure the roof ecu control unit not to concern itself with the seats or the doors being shut! Then you would have to fold both seats forward (so the mechanism doesnt hit the seats) and then lean through (or put a clifford alarm on and wire the roof down switch into it) the gap and press the roof down button whilst keeping your head out of the way of the mechanism!

It would be a real pain (especially if it started to rain and you needed to get the roof up fast) and would devalue the car. I cant think of any other way around the seats getting in the way.

As if all that isnt bad enough, I have never come across a set of the carbon bucket seats for sale!

frankly the electric roof is pants, way too over engineered and very expensive to fix if it goes wrong. ferrari shd've stuck with the manual version of 348's roof .
