Hello all,
I'm a complete newbie to rc cars, but haven't yet had the time to go to a hobbystore for them to tell me what I need to know.
I have been looking for a troubleshooting page or idiots guide online, but haven't found the answer to this problem, hope someone here can help:

When switching our brand new Losi mini monster Baja on for the very first time today, after switching on the radio first, we found that it starts racing (high speed, good thing I was holding it in my hand by the chassis) the minute it's switched on although the rc/radio has not been touched.

It responds to the rc/radio, and will race faster or momentarily pause before reversing, but it does not go slow at any point.

What's the problem, and how do I fix it?

Many thanks,

PeetBee

Does it take more travel to stop/engage reverse than it used to?
On the transmitter there's normally a trim for the throttle (& 1 for the steering), it's possible that this may have been knocked so that it's always got throttle on.

If that's not the case, then it may be just that the esc has forgotten where neutral is. There should be something in the instructions for reseting this, normally to do with pressing a button as soon as you switch it on, but check your trims first.

It was the throttle trim, thanks for your very patient reply, PeetBee :-)
