Anyone know anything about this HSV ? Claims to be a 2003 supercharged to 600bhp+ etc.

http://search.autotrader.co.uk/es-uk/www/cars/HOLD...

.. and has been on ebay and elsewhere.

Its been for sale for 6 months as far as I can tell. So, whats wrong with it ??!!

I'm looking for an additional semi-stealthy vehicle that doesnt have an expensive badge on it, but is well hung in the engine dept, and interesting handling characteristics to go with it. Seems like a Holden HSV 2000-2003'ish, might just do the trick ...

Thanks for speedy update and links. PH search isnt working for me today for some reason, hence asking whats been asked before, and many times it seems !

Car and spec sound interesting, but the bling wheels are a tad offputting, and the OTT ICE is the last thing I'm looking for. Maybe its in the boot to marginally hold the rear wheels down ...

I have had a look at this car, aside from the stated power/torque figures which I believe Mark (ex LSV) vouches for, the car itself is not a HSV but a Holden Monaro modded by CAPA in OZ (it sports 'CAPA F350' badges) and imported to UK by LSV? In general it is not in great condition, few scratches, scuff marks on the wheels and interior is untidy. In my opinion it is also way overpriced, a car of it's age (prob 2002), condition and considering the mods, a price of around 19-20k would be more reasonable. Also when I saw it, I was unable to have a test drive as the clutch was knackered and they were waiting for a replacement from OZ - and the battery was flat - so we couldn't even check out the DVD, satnav, etc.

I've driven past this garage many times over the past few years. The bloke that owns it must be a complete petrol head as it's always full of mad machinery & I'm surprised he stays in business. If I didn't already have mine I would seriously consider this as unique investment. You can change the wheels easily so just buy it for the engine alone; imagine telling your mates you have an 805bhp car!

Thanks to everyone for their input, as its confirmed my own thoughts. This thread has also smoked out a couple of other options which could be very intertesting ..
