Ford Mk1 Mondeo/Cougar

Hi,

If i put a 3.0 in my Mk1 2.5 Mondeo, will I need to change the brain or will I have to have the original brain re-mapped?

One more thing does anyone know if ford put the 3.0 duratec in a Cougar?

Could be wrong, but I'm fairly sure the Cougar was 2.5v6 only.

Ford never fitted the 3L but it will fit-quite a common thing to do in the USA.
