Fans not cutting in after a recent battery change. Fuses look OK but want to check other
connections linked to the fans. Anyone got a photo of where to look - cheers.

It is at the base of your swirl pot, the one with the brass plug in the top. Slightly pull back the connector and short across the two spades to liven up the circuit. If the fans don't come on then check the motor(s) and the fuse/relay.

Is this 2 stage Mod-Wise fan kit worth doing and how much does it cost? I'm taking my Chim to Le Mans this year and after just having my radiator recored my only thought was to just take a spare otter switch as back up. Fans kick in as normal so no cooling problems.

Cheers thumbup

I always carry two needles & some tape. If otter fails pull off connectors & short out with said equipment. Fans on with ignition, but hey it may be the lesser of two evils!

Can't imagine what you're planning to do with the needles but I assume you have a spare fuse or two (if not, you should) and you can simply push the two spades onto that, no need to muck about.

biggrin You can also sew the buttons back on your trousers in an emergency. (and yes I have fuses, relays & a spare alternator belt!)

I think I'd rather expose myself than risk pricking my prick yikes

Have said for years that I cant understand why a fuse isn't the default otter switch hotlink, we should all have a spare in the fusebox and it is insulated, fits perfectly etc.
