A great turnout for the first VMax of the year. Thanks to Craig and team
for their tremendous efforts making the day run smoothly as usual.
Finally got the SL running properly apart from from a certain company
forgetting to completely remove the Limiter.mad
However had some fun seeing how far I could travel along the runway at
50mph before accelerating for the traps hoping to get there before the
limiter cut in. Last effort at 189mph was the best, the limiter cutting in
100metres before the traps having started the run just before the new
'summerhouse' part way along the main runway.

Looking forward to the next one Mark.

Big thanks to Craig and the crew for a fantastic, well organised day.

Also, thanks to Jez and Sophie in the Monaro beastie, Matthew and Helen in the F430, Matthew & Steve in the lovely RS4, David in the GT3, and the guys in the 335d (never got your names, sorry!). The passenger laps were fantastic!

The weather and atmosphere yesterday was great. Cheers chaps!

Next time I'll have to get a passenger lap in that Carerra GT before you run out of petrol eh Freewheeler! biggrin

Thanks Muncher for showing us round the car and David (GT3) for the ride, nice to see so many friendly faces again.

Hope the rad's ok Steve (anniesdad)

Highlight: that insade S8, and the insane (+insanely talented) young pilot. I have never got out of a car feeling sick before!!!

A good bunch all round.

Cheers Craig for another great Vmax.
Me and Joe get very bored on this cold and windy airfield on our own, so its nice every now and then when you lot come to play in the "garden".

Hope you enjoyed the S8 as much as i did... not bad for a big old barge!

Dad wasnt best pleased with the state of his M5 tyres when i got home! Hee Hee...

Must try and get the tangoed Landy above the 110mph mark next time, bit hard when it is as aerodynamic as a brick!

Hope everybody enjoyed the day!

Many thanks.

Just to echo all the kind words Craig. Great day out and hopefully I'll be there again next time.

We have done a small write up with some photos on our site http://driver.ie/forum/showthread.php?t=59677 if anyone would like a read.

Big thanks to JonRB for the spin in the Sagaris and I hope it was nothing too serious that ended your day. And Glen (I think) in the 350Z and the hardy scot in the NSX thank you also (you must have been freezing!) biggrin

That's a cracking write up and pretty much sums my experience as a first timer at VMax also.

What happened in the morning ref meeting at Tibshelf?

Well I turned up an hour late (bad hangover :P) around 8.15, hoping some of you would still be there but unfortunately not. Was anyone there at 7.15?

Yeah! Thanks Craig and the team!

You're the Men! How you put up with us all is beyond me and some of the "antics" that go on and have to be addressed...well I couldn't do it! Well done and thanks again. I think this was one of my favourite VMAX's so far! thumbup

Hi Sam, wavey

Nice seeing you again. The rad was replaced on Tuesday by Ninemeister in Warrington. What a great set of lads that work there, petrolheads to the core and a really good laugh. The sites and sounds whilst I was waiting for the car to be repaired were just an added bonus. Some of the projects they've got going on there are VERY interesting. wink
