yes agree, Hagerty offer good quotes and are efficient - they quoted me and almost won the business (but my current broker offers better track cover so I stayed). AFAIR, they (Hagerty) are based at Silversone so know the car performance business well.

You go on the track, do a warm up, come back in, get the polish out and spend the rest of the day cleaning wink

What it says. It's a policy specifically designed for high net worth people biggrin

Essentially it covers things that normal insurance policies don't. Cheapest, and hence large amounts of exclusions, isn't always the best when you are playing around with 50k+ cars, especially if you have more than one 50k+ car.....

Typically things like foreign cover, legal, recovery, breakdown are included, excess's are low and things like track days are also no additional charge with no, or limited loading of the excess. In addition, regardless of blame, a high spec courtesy car (i.e. not a Micra...) is provided.

If you do 5 trips abroad, and 10 track days the savings compared to a normal policy can be significant.

Most HNW policies can also include all your cars, and if you want as well, the various homes you have.

Happy Days

I've just phoned Hagerty , and got a quote , as my policy with CCI is due for renewal.

I have halved my premium £485,, the trackday cover is 10% of premuim plus IPT, with a 10% of car value as excess.

90 Days european travel included , so covers a trip to spa.
but not surprisingly no tourist days at the 'ring

The only limitation is a max mileage of 5k , so it may not suit if its your daily driver, otherwise yep , its a bargain !

half the mileage half the price...

Fair comment. Can't personally see me doing more than 5k
( call me a lightweight if you like !!), but if you do you convert to a unlimted policy on a pro-rata basis for the rest of the year.

I was concerned that it might be underwritten by some unknown company with loads of exclusions , but its Allainz, and its got none of the silly exclusions I had before regarding overnight restrictions ( other than not leaving it on the drive , must be garaged)

I did try Peart , but I think thier premium took into account my low net worth..

Thanks guys - just got a quote - £600 less than my renewal (which I was budgeting for)!

Looks like a Sigma 120-300 f2.8 lens might be a possibility now smile

I've been with Hagerty a few years, and no one has come close to their quotes. Well worth the phone call to them. My renewal this month went down from last year too, whilst maintaining the same agreed value on it.
