My pigging bonnet has started to not unlock properly recently - fortunately theres enough flex in the bonnet to get a screwdriver in and prise the lock-bolt out, but I cant see why its not unlocking properly??
It seems to operate fine when the bonnets up, but after the last couple of drives it just wasnt for unlocking - just moves so far and wont budge!
There seems to be some threaded adjustment on the rods, but dont want to make it worse - any clues...?

If the bonnet locking rods are ok, make sure the brackets are still firmly attached to the bonnet, they are just fibre glass legs with the steel fastened on, sometimes the fibreglass cracks off and needs fibre glassing back on.
hope this helps.

Mine did this.

The rods move in opposite directions, unfortunately if they move too far, they become locked solid due to the hinges that attach them to the release knob ending up directly opposite each other.

Just undo one of the rods one turn, it might solve it....

There is also a little adjustment on the white nylon ends. they screw in and out. if the rods are too tight it can be hard to lock/unlock them. A good way of adjusting them is to remove the fibreglass tray just in front of the windscreen so that you can get access to the rods with the bonnet closed

Slightly unrelated, but I've put little rubber washers (maybe 4mm thick) on my nylon ends to stop the bonnet rod rattling. May be useful, as the rubbers mean there's a greater margin for error in the adjustment (although, as has already been said, it sounds like yours might be adjusted too long already).

There are supposed to be rubber grommets sandwiched in the bits that the locking pins locate in; These stop it rattling, but they do wear out after a while and fall out.
