in the last 9 months the number of new and used esprit available through dupont (a leading u.s. source of exotics-and how i found mine) has dropped from 35 to 16 in a linear decline weekly...... less esprit at this rate in 9 months there will be no esprit for sale and the price can only go up...

Or maybe they all went to Ebay LOL I have never seen so many Esprits on ebay at once! Many of them though have been listed more than 2 even 3 times now.

Well, while in Austin last week I saw 3 new Esprit on the showroom floor at Autostrada. Supply seems not to be a problem, buyers on the other hand....

Bought mine on eBay. Seemed like all the Esprits on eBay were in the Silicon Valley area at the time. I am not surprised that Spencers is going out of business. All the Loti sold and moved away.

Hey, does anyone know about the left over V8 at Princeton Sports Cars (NJ)? My neighbor has been making noise about an Esprit since I got mine but seems genuinely interested in taking a look at that one. I read him the riot act about depreciation, expect to have to work through a few problems with a leftover, etc. already.

Hey Skerd, You might also check at Rothrock Chevy Lotus in Philly, I test drove a beautiful "Black Current" one there last Sept. He also had a silver one. He was going to give me a great deal on the Black Current one but still a little to far out of my reach.

You will see a little more activity once the end of driving season is near and then in the spring as it starts up. People are just having too much fun with their cars to sell now.

Agreed! Also, when the toll of this driving season rears it's ugly head, faced with some repair, many will instead elect to sell and move on. Happy Motoring! Jim'85TE
