As an aside to my recent thread on fuelling problems, I am looking to buy an ECU fault code reader as this may help now, and because I try to do all my own work/fault finding on the car. Is the original rover part that turns up on Ebay etc. the best to get, or aftermarket ones such as from; http://www.bespokeintelligentsystems.co.uk/Product... as there is little in the price?

I bought the bespoke unit, seems fine. No fualts on mine so nothing to find but I have plugged onto a couple of other cars and did find something on one of them.

You can get the now obsolete Land Rover ‘on board diagnostic display’ (LR part number PRC 7067) from a breaker in the US for a fraction of that price. I had them send me one for about 20 pound.
