Not a major one granted, but when I click through the link to follow a thread that has been moved I get logged out of PH.

Is this a problem on both my machines here, or at the PH end?

If it helps it IE7 & XP on both.

Many thanks

Chris

This happens because of the way cookies work with websites with more than one domain name.

Your computer treats pistonheads.com as a completely different website to pistonheads.co.uk (despite the fact they both point to the same place). This means that when you are logged in on one, you are not necessarily logged in on the other.

This doesn't normally make any difference, except when you follow a link which points you to the other version of the site you will have to log in there as well. Once you are logged in on both then you shouldn't have any more problems.

If this doesn't match with what you are experiencing then let me know and i will dig into it further.

Cheers for that Will.

I tend to login to the.co.uk site, and the threads get moved on the .com domain.

I'll check out using the .com to login with, and report back if I have the problem.

Many thanks

We could fix that simply by making it a relative path rather than a full URL.
