on recent journeys ive become the victim of the randem stuttering/stalling/misfire,(i dont know which one),thats been talked of on here before.ive searched the forums and this problem is mentioned many times but nobody mentions an actual fix or cause, has anyone come up with a cure?it happens to me mostly on constant throttle around 80-90mph,but sometimes on acceleration at speed but very seldom at low speed/acceleration,it also happens so suddenly and breifly i dont hae time to check the dash for lights or revs

Make sure your HT leads are properly seated.

I had a similar issue (odd missfire at 80mph to Le Mans) - one HT lead not seated/attached properly

Unfortunately you wont find a magic one hit cure because those symptoms can be caused by so many things.

But as above check the easy thing first like HT leads.

I had simialr problems; navigate to the beginning of - http://tvrchimaera400.blogspot.com/

A few more details would be helpful. Has anything been changed recently?

IMHO I would start by methodically checking out the ignition system, because once the ECU finds a fault there, it will run like a pig until it is fixed.

Fisrstly the easy stuff like plug leads and connections to the coil and ignition module. If you can remove all the spark plugs and have a look to see if one is black n sooty, then that would be helpful.

If you are careful with your investigation you can potentially save yourself a lot of money.

Had the same thing happen with ours. It was caused by one of the HT leads breaking down through the exhaust manifold.
