Alternative option to not signing?

This has probably been discussed before but...

What happens if you nominate someone else as being the driver and then that person denies it point blank.
Is this just one mans word against anothers?
If so what can the court do?

Depends on whether the other driver is in on the scam. If not and you finger someone then all they have to do is provide some evidence about there whereabouts that day and you're screwed in court.

Of course if the other driver is a good mate and doesn't provide any evidence then its a differnt story.

I'm sure Madcop et al will provide a better answer that I.
