I know this has probably been asked loads of times before but I’m unable to find the threads.

My steering is whining so I’m guessing the power steering fluid is low so my question is,

Can I top up the existing fluid or should I replace the lot with nice shiny red stuff and how easy is it to drain?

Oh and where can I get hold of the correct fluid?

I get a slight whine all the time from the power steering but only when its warm. Its been diagnosed as the pump on the way out. When it was checked the fluid was cloudy which I am told is a fair indication of a knackered pump. Had it flushed and new fluid put in as that sometimes helps things and it has improved it quite a bit, only ocassionally whines now. I think I'm going to be looking at a new pump next service.

It looks like a trip to Racing Green TVR is on the cards. I have some little items that need someone who knows what they are doing to look at.
