Changing all the tops in Houx from nice hose-friendly ones to the press-for-10-seconds-water type is a bit of a clue if you ask me. Non.

they haven't been allowed for the last couple of years but that hasn't stopped us and many others having them (even in last years rain!) Think it's going to be another one of those things that people will start to say "i hear they're going to get really tight on that this year" same as they have been starting to "get tight" on scanning camping tickets every year but never have!

We'll have a pool until they tell us not to while we're there

Likewise they have been suffering a drought in the region for the last few years so have continued the ban as the local councils are advocating water conservation.

And while last le mans weekend wasn't exactly drought conditions.. They haven't lifted the restrictions.

I think it's been said on here before but blaming the ban on the drought was just a convenience. The truth is, apparently, there's no such thing as free water in France - it's all metered. Filling up swimming pools costs the ACO money, simple as that!

You could put fridges for beer in the side lockers, add a BBQ/grill to the back, bolt on some showerheads to the side, fit a couple of benches in the cabin and use the roof as a viewing platform... hey presto a completely self contained Le Mans camping utility vehicle!

You missed something from the list...

When you drive past Houx Annex and someone squirts you with a water pistol you come back 5 minutes later and 'return the favour'...

if i did not like going quick so much and staying in hotels that thing would have been bought and ready for conversion for 2009!
Someone has to buy it and transform it into the ultimate lemans tool.

And drive it down in convoy with the LeMansBulance!

Would make a change from all the double decker buses.
