You're probably better off going onto the MLR and asking over there. There are quite a few people with X's on order....

If I were you I would cancel the order. This is not a snipe at EVOs I love them, but after seeing the X at Geneva I must confess that it is the most dissapointing car at the show. Plastics are a backward step, seat finish is Allegro velour and the plastic carbon on the seats is pure crap. Add to all this the subwoofer in the boot and I nearly pissed myself.
Do yourself a favour and buy an EVO1X as they are streets ahead of this new car.Better vale too. IMHO of course.

I agree that the drive is what they are all about and it appears you have taken offence. I have driven a IX, but not yet a X. The point was the standard of interior for a car in this class. I think Mitsubishi were asleep or full of Saake when the interior was signed off.
If I were to drive one, however good it would not change my opinion of the interior.
You should expect better for your hard earned cash.

No I've not taken offence, I just find it interesting when people give definitive advice when they've not lived with/driven a car.

I've been in a few EVO's, a II, a III, and a VI and none of them had what I would call a "nice" interior. Cant say much about the IX having never been in one.

eta: I don't own an EVO

I think the biggest factor against the Evo X if I was considering buying one (not that I'm in that position) would be a single number. 1624. Thats the weight. In Kg. Lardass.

Er you kind of did "I agree that the drive is what they are all about"

You also said "If I were you I would cancel the order."

Seems pretty definitive to me scratchchin

There are a few threads on the MLR from people that have driven both.

I own an Evo IX, and was far more impressed by the X than I thought I would be (I attended one of the press days when the car was launched and had a few hours driving round Prodrive's circuits in the latest models). It is more "mainstream" than earlier Evos without a doubt, but it hides its weight very well!
