A2 '3L' 1.2 TDI - Availability?
Discussion
Bit of a hypothetical question really, as I think it might be too much money and effort, but does anyone know how i'd obtain a 1.2 TDI A2? I understand they were only on sale in continental Europe in left hand drive, but it sounds like quite a smart piece of design, and 95mpg sounds like something I would like to have to rebalance any future performance car purchases. I just wondered how feasible it would be.
I think i'm right in saying that Seat and VW made 3L Lupos/Arosa - are they any easier to come by?
Cheers.

I had to look up what '3L' meant, I got excited that they'd stuffed a 3 litre engine into a Lupo. But alas, it's the consumption figure per 100km.
Nothing constuctive to add, but just a thought. Is it worth spending the extra on importing the A2 and the extra cost of LHD to insure over just a normal diesel A2?
Edited for $hite spelling

I hadn't realised that LHD cost more to insure, but you're probably right about it hardly being worth it. In these situations i'm often guilty of forgetting all but the fuel running costs. Mind you, an extra 30mpg (although I don't know if that's an absolute maximum rather than an achievable figure) over the 1.4 TDI could save you a huge chunk of money.
