Me and a friend will be going to the GP at the end of april, just wondered if anybody knew of any good hotels or B&B's for 4 nights to stay at?!

Try Banys Orientals
www.hotelbanysorientals.com

They are in the latin quarter - superb hotel..

Taxi's are very reasonably priced in Barcelona too !

If you want it cheap try a hostel, they are not like you get here, they are just hotels which are over shops. very cheap about £15 p.n stayed in one the other yr for a stag just off las ramblas and it was fine for a base. clean etc.

And watch out for pick pockets/muggings at night time when you've had a few beers. 25 on stag do, 5 mugged and wallets stolen. But it's a great place despite that, make sure you head to the Ramblas area in the evening, some bizarre sights to be seen...

Loads of small cheap-ish hotels with 20 odd rooms or so. 2 or 3 star there is generally much more upmarket than a Travelodge type of room in UK.

Book before you go, Barcelona is pretty busy all year round in my experience.

Right about the pick pockets - phones always being nicked in that city..

Check out the interesting bar called - Forest of the Faries hidden at the bottom of the Ramblas (on the right when looking up hill) - it's not a gay bar - honest
and the red district is about 1/2 way up the Ramblas on the left (going uphill).
