Missing posts bug

The symptom is that every now and again the first post in a thread will be missing or some other post isn't there any more but when more posts are added to a thread then they reappear. I did a couple of tests...

If you have 19 posts in a thread then posts 1-19 are displayed on one web page.

If you have 20 posts in a thread then posts 2-20 are displayed on one web page. Post 1 is not displayed.

If you have 21 posts in a thread then post 1 is displayed on the first page and posts 3-21 are displayed on the next page. Post 2 is not displayed.

This is all using the 'descending' display. I think the calcs which work out which posts appear on which page are broken.

Cheers Mark for that information, I will have a look at the maths behind the page to see why it is being silly.
