Hi Guys - just a quick 'toe in the water', have any of you had a leather re-trim on your Chim?

If so, what kind of ball park or price range (quality dependent) and timescales to do it are we looking at?

I've had re-carpeting quotes from £500 - £1100 so I'm expecting a lot more for the leather.

Thanks

i should think so quality hide retails at around 300+ per hide and you will need at least 1 1/2 thats before labour costs at a guess £1500+ IMHO

Thanks for your responses guys.

spyschim - it sounds like you are doing the work yourself - or are you having it done for you?

I had the following quote from www.ClassicCarServices.co.uk to re-trim the leather in my Chimaera.

to retrim the 2 seats and headrests will cost £700 plus vat.
to retrim the centre console will cost £300 plus vat.
to retrim the lower dash sections both passenger and drivers side £350

They expected the job to take 7-10 working days and were already booked well into April.
I spoke to Steve Hartley and he seemed to know a lot about TVRs in general.
