Anyone got any advice on vinyl racing stripes for my Elise?
I live in Wiltshire, and I am trying to find someone local to Salisbury who can do the job for me.
Can anyone recommend a company please?

You've got to earn your stripes young lad..

I'm not sure 1 post is enough. They're even more strict on SELOC you know. Not sure your even allowed to touch your car until you've done at least 50 posts rofl

You just have to spout loads of drivel for 10-20 post per day for a month. Works for the rest of us! I used Vinyl Creations in Sittingbourne for my stripes - but that's a bit of a trek for you. Might be worth speaking with Sportomotive to see if they have anyone to recommend.

Thanks mate. I have emailed them and I am waiting for "the workshop will respond to you directly". Got my car from there so hoping they will come through with some advice.

May I ask how much you paid for your stripes?

I'd say white or yellow.

I'm thinking of some stripes for Le Mans Classic. Now please don't laugh as I cannot do one of those flash representations in Photoshop that I've seen on the "Is your car stickered for LM?" thread, so I've had a go in MS Paint. Wouldn't mind seeing what people think of my idea?

On the subject of suppliers, I've used www.hollographics.com and www.racegraphics.net before for decal supplies and both provided excellent service. However, this is on a DIY basis. It isn't as hard as it seems to do and was quite an enjoyable weekend when I striped my BMW 325i before a Ring Trip last year. Give it a go!

Mine set me back £200 from memory. Quite a few hours work to get it right on an S2 so worth getting it done by a specialist.

No problem, I had no idea how to do it when I started reading this forum either. Upload your photos to http://photobucket.com/ and then copy & paste the IMG Code link that photobucket will create for each image you upload. It sizes photos for display in Forums such as this one.
Look forward to seeing your pictures.

If you're going with stripes on green I think it can only be Norfolk (mustard) yellow

Ooo and sorry for the delay. Here are the much stricter rules from the SELOC forum in regards to post count / max speeds. rofl

They look fantastic mate - can I ask how much they charge?
Are they vinyl or painted - they look (very well) painted!

Cheers ! they are the best stripes I have seen on an S1, even better than my old stripes !

mine was done through the insurance as I had an accident but I think it was around £500. Took 2 guys all day to do it. Mind you I did go for the most expensive 3M vinyl with was over £200 just for the gun metal colour. in cheaper materials it could be done for half the cost probably. Not painted obviously...
