front brake discs for s2

Hi everyone,

I've just been informed that both front discs need replacing on my 2001 s2. the oe discs which i would prefer to fit are proving a bit tricky to source. does anyone have any experience of fitting other discs such as ebc? Also my specialist has recommended i use ferodo ds pads. Good, bad or indifferent?
