Chimaera 400 sluggish after service
Discussion
Since getting my Chimaera back from service I have found it to be less responsive and it feels well down on power. I thought at first it was because I had been driving a Cerbera 4.2, but now realise mine is down on power. In the engine department I had the ignition angle set back to 12'BTDC (standard) from what it was set at before (19'BTDC)..could this be the reason.
Or, I had the baffles removed? Apart from that they did just the norm, ie. filters, plugs etc.
It wont even spin the wheels in 1st on the throttle?
Please help, I need my fix of speed!!!

There's another thread about BTDC - it says exactly the same. Apparently you can regard 12 as 'default' then you adjust from there as required (source: shpub!)
IMHO the presence or absence of baffles won't make any noticeable difference to power.
I'd take it back and ask them to fix put it right.
Could be an ignition timing issue. Could equally be a baffles problem as it can effect the power from the engine. The problem is that it is very engine dependent. Could be a combination of the two. Driving something like a cerbie will undoubtedly change your perception of what is fast.
