Maserati GranSport info needed - Warranty
Discussion
Guys how long is the standard manufactures warranty on a GranSport I read that it was 4years 50,000 miles is that so?
Also how much is it to buy and extension from Maserati?
I've seen about 3 that I am considering looking into, the only thing really holding me back is the reliability but if they are offering 4 years then that should not be an issue for a while on an '56 plate car!!
thanks

If you buy from a franchised dealer after this time they'll obviously give you a 1 year warranty. However, currently unlike Porsche, you cant rock up and buy a maserati warranty if your car's out of warranty and you've bought it somewhere else.
Apparantly this is because Maserati are a bunch of numpties (or just italian and slightly disorganised - no offence) and they've not yet sorted themselves out yet in relation to the FSA regs - but this will change in a couple of months so you can buy the maserati warranty like you can for a Porsche...

I like the sound of that, It will be about 4-5 months by the time I am ready anyway!!! So in theory I could buy private or indie dealer get it inspected and throw an official warranty on from a dealer.
