Carlo (LG04) old Countach QV for sale
Discussion
Carlo
I see your old car is for sale here for £80k:
http://search.autotrader.co.uk/es-uk/www/cars/LAMB...
Assume the person you sold it too didn't hold onto it very long.
Be interesting to see if it sells at that price

Hey Craig, yes mate, it is Carlo's car. The guy never came to collect and he's just got fed up of people wasting his time!
So I've got it!!
Hi Paul. Looks lovely in the pics. So much better without the wing IMHO.So I've got it!!

Hope it goes to a real enthusiast as there are not many good QV's about.
Craig
Good to see them going for good money!! Its about time to. if 512bb's ar going for well over £70k then the Qv's should be going for well north of that!
Mabay I have finally bought a car I can make money on Carlo! lol
think there were 140 of the 88.5 cars of the 610 Qv's built.
Does anyone know how many of them were fuel injected and sold to the US or other smog affected countries? I understood were about 30 Qv's in UK?
Mine was originaly sold in Northern Ireland and were only two carsoffically sold there by Lambo UK.

Is your QV the one that was for sale in Yorkshire (white/white)?
This was originally in Ireland.

Out of the 140 88.5my cars - it's my understanding that only 18 of them were in RHD (One of which has been written off and broken for bits at euro spares).Mabay I have finally bought a car I can make money on Carlo! lol

Hi there
My car is white and white. the guy who owned it lived in Lancashire and car was originaly in NI where is was originally owned by a builder called Fraser and he sold it to a mate of his son who used to keep it in his truck showroom but apparently didnt use it much. he took it to a few car events.
Would be interested to know more about what you know of the car.
I have traced as much history as I can on it. there isnt much as it had only done 12000 km approx when I bought it last year.
Since then I put a new clutch assmebly in , changed every hose pipe etc when the engine was out, put a new stainless stell exhaust and manifolds on it , new tyres and just about every service thing I could do when it had the engine out. Cost about £17k to put it back to proper order! Teh car is lovley as newverbeen modified bashed etc and is totally original
If you do know something would be great to hear from you, preferably in person! lol
Can get me on my mobile 07831 467360 my name is Paul!
I understnad that back in the mid 90's there were about 300 lambos of all types in the UK. I wa given this info by the then owner of Portmans for whom Del worked at that time. I recall Del broadly agreeing with that figure. that included Espadas etc of which ther werent that many surviving even then!
A few of cars came to the UK in the late 80's with the classic car boom and many were left hand drive.
Would be good if someone has more accurate info. Dave may be able to shed soime light from club archives?
If anyone else knows anything of my countach would be pleased to hear form them. Still a few gaps but used my contacts here and in NI to get a lot of info

Completely understand about the lack of use thing - hate to think how few miles I've done in the last year and I don't even have the kids excuse! I bought a car from Simon at Fernhurst recently and he mentioned he knew you - small world as you say.
Hope your QV goes to a good home.

I can't add anything on the history of it I'm afraid. I went to look at the car last year when for sale but decided it wasn't the car for me. Good to hear you're pleased with it.

I know of your car when it belonged to Fred Fraser. I have a very good article from the local N.I. press with pictures of the car and the owner which I can dig out and give you. Fraser was quite a character in the building trade. I know a guy who worked on many of his sites and said he would frequently turn up in the Countach and give everyone a chewing for exceeding their tea break by mere seconds. As a result he was very unpopular and, when his back was turned, the JCB operators would dump brand new bricks instead of hard core rubble in the foundations. My car is white and white. the guy who owned it lived in Lancashire and car was originaly in NI where is was originally owned by a builder called Fraser and he sold it to a mate of his son who used to keep it in his truck showroom but apparently didnt use it much. he took it to a few car events.
