Hi all,
I'm looking for a 'BTCC' spec FIA approved seat.
The requirements are light weight (Carbon/Kevlar) and must have head protection wrap around.
A few options I've found:
Recaro Pro Racer SPA (weight 6.5kg) - £1690
Cobra Evolution (5.7kg) - £425
Corbeau Revenge (weight n/a) - £450
Sparco S-Light Carbon (6.8kg) - £1300
Border Racing Kevlar (JDM import - 4.9kg) - £400
Has anyone had experience with these seats? My preference is Recaro but at £1600 it's not cheap, the Cobra is just £450, how can there be such a huge difference in price - brand? I'm sure the Recaro will be finished to a high standard and be very stiff, but does that mean the others wont be?
